HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW FETTERLY WILKES-KRIER

Monica and I recently had the first in what is hopefully a series of many parties celebrating the life and times of people that i do not know.

This party was to celebrate the may 9th birthday of ANDREW W.K.

I'd say it was pretty successful.

Billy The Kid

Billy is a 15 year old boy who loves AC/DC, his mom, karate, and a girl named Heather (but not nessecarily in that order). This is a movie about his life.

If you live in minneapolis, PLEASE go to the Parkway Theatre this week and see it. If you go tomorrow (February 11) the director Jennifer Venditti will be there and she really has some lovely things to say.

I loved this film in ways that I have never loved before. It is so tender and heart wrenching and full of everything i ever want to put in the films that i make.

this means war.

i think i need a cat to get rid of the mouse in my apartment. my phobia of the creatures has intensified this past month and i think it's causing a complete block in creativity. all i think about is mice.

films i saw last year

Tonight, after seeing P.T. Anderson's latest work of genius, There Will be Blood!, for the second time i left the movie theatre feeling enlightened and inspired. i feel motivated now for this upcoming semester and all of my new projects.

here are the films i saw this past year that have affected me and make me want to continue down the path that i am on.

Apocalypse Now

Brand Upon The Brain!

The Darjeeling Limited

Margot at the Wedding

Three Kings

No Country for Old Men

There Will Be Blood!
(technically saw it in 2008, but this movie exceeds all time and space)

note to self: learning to be an emotionally open person is key to creating work that will mean a damn thing to anyone else.
